Jimmy’s restaurant and rooms are located in the village of Pelekas.
Pelekas is a hill village, located on the west coast of the island, about 13km away from Corfu Town. It is a typical Greek village, with its churches, beautiful small alleys and an atmosphere that has remained unblemished by mass tourism. The village is built on the slope of a 270 m hill, where the remains of the famous Kaiser’s Throne can be found.
One of the sights for which Pelekas is known, the Kaiser’s Throne, is located at the top of the hill, from where you can enjoy a magnificent sunset and breathtaking view of the island. The village is also famous for its three beaches, Myrtiotissa, Glyfada, Pelekas and Gialiskari, which are of the most beautiful in Corfu. For many years in the 1980s the village was very well known as a hippy resort, particularly popular among young travelers who came from all over the world, and remains famous as such.
In the village you can find a number of bars, restaurants, rooms to let, a mini market, tourist shops, a bakery, a travel agency, car & motorbike rental services, as well as various other services.
The area is ideal for exploration. Various outdoor activities available include visits to small-scale producers of local products, alternative forms of tourism, walking trails, water sports, small nudist beaches, paragliding, horse riding, golf, churches and monasteries, folk museums, concerts, traditional dance & music groups and many other interesting things to see and do.
